Marysa Alvarez

Bio

Marysa Alvarez was born and raised in New Orleans. She spent her life in both Catholic and public school settings even through college. She would go on to earn her degree in History from Southeastern Louisiana University and then on to earn her master’s degree in Religious Education with a concentration on Youth and Young Adult Ministry from Loyola University New Orleans. She has been working in various roles in ministry for the past 7 years. Working for both Catholic Schools and Catholic Churches in Louisiana and South Carolina, she held positions such as Young Adult Minister, Coordinator of Children’s Ministry, and Campus Minister. Utilizing her gifts, talents, and knowledge she has gained over the years have brought her to where she is today. She currently is working as a high school religion teacher and Campus Minister and also serves on the Young Adult Council for the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
