A Message from the FIELD Project Director
Dr. Tracey Lamont, Interim Director of the Loyola Institute for Ministry
Welcome to the Loyola Institute for Ministry FIELD Project. Many young adults are searching for meaning and purpose, a sense of belonging, and want to grow spiritually. It is our great hope that Catholic parishes can become a place where young adults encounter God’s presence in their lives, feel safe to share what is on their hearts and minds, grow meaningful relationships, and are spiritually nourished. We are grateful to the Lilly Endowment, Inc, for their generous support of our young adult initiative. Please join me in prayer for the success of the FIELD project and for all ministries with young adults.

A Message from the FIELD Project Coordinator
Dr. Emily Jendzejec, Assistant Professor of Pastoral Studies at the Loyola Institute for Ministry
We are excited to share that our application is now open for parishes to apply to be part of the first cohort of the FIELD Project. FIELD stands for Faithful Innovation and the three steps that Pope Francis envisions for synodality–Encountering, Listening, and Discerning. We are honored here at the Loyola Institute for Ministry to be stewarding this incredible opportunity through the generosity of the Lilly Foundation. We aim to support 4-6 parish teams in each cohort who are ready to partake in a year-long, prayer-filled learning process in order to innovate and better support the spiritual lives of young adults in their communities.
LIM Innovation Hub
An Initiative of Loyola Institute for Ministry at Loyola University New Orleans
Loyola Institute for Ministry (LIM) at Loyola University New Orleans, a Catholic and Jesuit institution, educates, prepares, and empowers diverse learners through the method of practical theology so that they may serve their faith communities and the world. We do this through offering contextualized educational and spiritual formation opportunities in the forms of graduate and undergraduate studies and continuing education programs.
Vision
We envision a church that centers the voices of young adults, embodies synodality, and practices shared, co-responsible leadership to help bring God’s love, mercy, and compassion more fully into the world.
Mission
The innovation hub supports parishes to take risks, to be bold, and to be innovative in their approaches to ministry with young adults.
